Recognizing distinction in jewelry design through the Saul Bell Design Award, Rio Grande has opened the call for entries for its 2015 competition. The Saul Bell Design Award competition is one of the industry’s most respected international jewelry competitions and open to jewelers and hollowware artists from across the globe. The only requirement is that you possess a mastery of your craft and an original point of view. You may enter as many pieces as you wish, though you can only be a finalist once per category.

The 2014 Saul Bell Design Award Competition has opened for submissions! Now in its 14th year, the Saul Bell Design Award competition continues to recognize artists whose work challenges traditional perceptions of jewelry design. Artists and students worldwide are invited to enter their most innovative jewelry creations in six different categories. Submitted pieces must be wearable jewelry and must be composed of at least 75% of the material specified in the chosen category. The piece may not have won an award in any other competition prior to entry submission.

Now entering its second decade, the Saul Bell Design Award competition invites you to seize the challenge, to push your most daring design ideas to the center of the spotlight. Rio Grande invites members of the jewelry-making or hollowware community and students of a jewelry or hollowware training program to embrace the challenge and take part in the eleventh annual Saul Bell Design Award competition. The winner of the Grand Prize gets an incredible prize of $10,000.
