Type Directors Club (TDC) is currently accepting applications to the Ascenders 2023 competition, that recognizes designers on the rise from all parts of the world. Ascenders is for all typographic creatives age 35 or under. You can apply individually, or as a duo if you do your best work as part of a team. Winners become part of the esteemed and rarefied TDC Ascenders family, a collection of creatives known to be at the apex of their craft. Only a select few winners are chosen every year, making the recognition that much more earned. Winners will be feted at a celebration held in New York and online on 8th June 2023.

The Type Directors Club, the world’s leading typography organization and part of The One Club for Creativity, is calling for entries, for its 69th Annual Competition. Previously divided into two competitions, one each for Communications Design and Typeface Design, the program is now a single competition under this year’s umbrella of TDC69, consisting of three disciplines: Type Design, Typography, and, for the first time, Lettering. Winners of TDC69 receive a Certificate of Typographic Excellence and digital seal certifying their work is among the world’s best of the year. Winning work will also be featured in the highly respected TDC Annual, The World’s Best Typography®, and showcased in eight exhibitions that travel to museums, schools and design organizations around the world.
