The city of Lausanne in Switzerland is hosting an international student design competition on the topic of “Architecture and Water“. As the host of the founding UIA (International Union of Architects) Congress in 1948, the city of Lausanne has offered to host the 28th UIA Congress in 2023. The competition is created for the design of a Swiss Room, which should showcase Lausanne’s candidature to organize the 28th UIA Congress. The winner or winning team will have the opportunity to create the Swiss Room on site, in Seoul, in September 2017, during UIA Congress 2017, unless Lausanne should decide to withdraw its candidature prior to this date. The organizing committee will cover all costs related to the Swiss Room construction.
