The Call for Entries for the 2014/2015 YCN Student Awards competition has recently been opened and students in Europe and North America are invited to participate in this annual competition in creativity. The YCN Student Awards exist to inspire, support and showcase emerging creative talent, and to connect it with the creative industries. The Awards center around live creative briefs, written each year by partnering organizations, and spanning broad creative disciplines. From 2014, YCN now operates a separate programme for Europe and for North America. The YCN Student Awards for Europe, and the YCN Student Awards for North America adhere to the same timings and entry guidelines, but centre on their own individually curated selection of live creative briefs.

YCN is seeking for emerging talent around the world and inviting all students to join the competitions for the YCN Student Awards 2013-2014. The annual YCN Student Awards exist to inspire, support and showcase emerging creative talent, and to connect it with the creative industries. The awards are based around a collection of live creative briefs. For the 2013-2014 Awards there are 20 creative briefs in total! Submissions are invited from anyone in full-time or part-time education, anywhere in the world.

YCN and BBC World Service are inviting international creatives outside of the UK to enter the “Bring The News To Life” global creative challenge and develop an advert or advertising campaign that encourages young audiences to engage with the BBC World Service. Participants should be aged between 18-34 and enter with ads or campaigns in several different disciplines. The winner will receive £3,000, two runners-up will each receive £1,000 and shortlisted entries will be showcased through our combined editorial channels.

Emerging creatives around the world are invited to share the best of their work as part of a brand new professional award programme from YCN, launched in international partnership with Soho House. Since 2001 YCN has been operating an international award programme for creative students. YCN is now seeking to elevate and recognise outstanding talent rising up within the industry. Open to creative professionals to have graduated within the last 8 years, the new YCN Professional Awards invite the submission of a portfolio showing four projects into categories for Design & Communication, Illustration and Animation. Portfolios must include client work, and postgraduate students are also welcome to enter.
