Cinema City Festival, that is to be held from 5th to 12th June 2010 in Novi Sad, is officially opening call for entries in “Up to 10 000 bucks” selection. This is a competition selection, and it will present films made with a budget of less than 10,000 dollars, with authors who were bold and creative enough to present their ideas through them with limited funds. The film that wins will gain money prize of 2,000 dollars. Introduction“Up to 10 000 bucks” selection is one of the most attractive festival’s selections which, alongside numerous audience, each year discovers new talents and provides them with an opportunity of getting ahead in the film industry. Authors from the chosen films from all over the world will be guests of the festival, and will have the opportunity to meet each other and further educate themselves in the field through numerous workshops and master classes of prominent filmmakers.

Originating in 1975, The Paducah Summer Festival Photo Competition has grown from a fledgling contest to the region’s most prestigious annual photographic event. It is open to all without restrictions on size or content. It provides photographers with an outlet for their art, encouragement for growth in their vision and presentation and cash rewards for works of exceptional merit. Each year from the hundreds of works submitted, 60 to 80 images are selected for exhibition by a highly qualified juror, with 8 to 10 of them receiving cash awards. Paducah Photo 2010 is open to all photographers.

The 25th Alpinale Film Festival, one of the most traditional summer-festivals in Vorarlberg, is scheduled to take place from 10th – 14th August 2010 in Nenzing, Austria. The organizing committee of the film festival cordially invites film-directors from across Europe to show their latest films in Nenzing. The Alpinale represents a venue for both professional and amateur filmmakers from home and abroad, who are given the opportunity to conduct multi-cultural and open dialogue with creative people, and to present their work to an interested audience. All kind of films (feature, documentary, animation and experimental) are eligible.
