The American Design Awards is putting out a call for entries, to all graphic and web designers worldwide to take part in the 2010 Summer Semi Annual Design Contest. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each of the twenty two design categories, bringing the total of winners to 66. Furthermore, this year the American Design Awards is giving away $2,500 to the top score getter of the entire competition, as well as $1000 and $500 to the second and third place finishers.

The Love Your Shorts Film Festival in Sanford, Florida, is accepting short films in all genres, with additional, separate categories for films made by students (12th grade and under) and films with Florida connections. Entries cannot exceed 30 minutes, including credits. Because the short film is a distinct and important art form, the Love Your Shorts Film Festival seeks to encourage, promote and recognize original and creative short films, and present them to viewers at the festival.
