SHOTS Magazine is calling for photography entries for its 114 issue, scheduled for Winter 2011. SHOTS Magazine is a reader-supported, quarterly journal of fine art photography. An established independent photography journal in its 25th year of publication, SHOTS Magazine reaches an international audience of photographers, collectors, galleries, museums, educators and other fine art photography enthusiasts. The open west is an annual open competition and exhibition which invites work from national and international artists practising contemporary and conceptual art in the fields of painting, installation, film and sound, textile, photography and ceramics, print, drawing, performance and sculpture. The open west is delighted to announce its 2012 venue as Gloucester Cathedral. The selected artists will show their work throughout the Interior, the Cloisters, the Crypt and the Garth of this important site, which has a reputation for showing ambitious contemporary work. The open west exhibition will be the first of its kind in this space to show work of such diversity of medium and scale. Up to 50 artists will be included in the 2012 exhibition, each with the possibility of showing more than one work.
