JmEvents – the Romanian NGO for culture and youth – has just opened the registration process for the 20th Jeunesses International Piano Competition, scheduled for 18 – 25 May 2013 in Bucharest. This is a two stage competition in piano performances, open for young musicians – not older than 30 – worldwide. The total amount of the awards is 10,000 Euro in cash, instruments or scholarships.

Creative Quarterly (CQ) magazine has just opened up for entries for its 28th international competition in graphic design, illustration, fine art and photography. All art directors, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and fine artists in all countries are invited to submit works. Separate categories will be judged for professionals and students and works must have been completed during the last six months. If you’re a winner you’ll get great exposure in the next issue of Creative Quarterly due out in 2012 distributed in the US, Canada, UK, Europe and parts of Asia.
