JmEvents – the Romanian NGO for culture and youth – has just opened the registration process for the 20th Jeunesses International Piano Competition, scheduled for 18 – 25 May 2013 in Bucharest.
This is a two stage competition in piano performances, open for young musicians – not older than 30 – worldwide.
The total amount of the awards is 10,000 Euro in cash, instruments or scholarships.
The 20th Jeunesses International Piano Competition is Calling for Young Pianists Worldwide
Similar to the annual Jeunesses International Violin Competition, the 20th Jeunesses International Piano Competition is an annual two stage competition in live piano performances, open to three categories of entrants:
- Age category B – born between 1.01.1999 – 31.12.2006
- Age category C – born between 1.01.1995 – 31.12.1998
- Age category D – born between 1.01.1983 – 31.12.1994
The competition will be held in Bucharest from 18th through 25th of May 2013.
Organizers provide lodging for the first 5 registered candidates. Accommodation begins on 18 May 2013 and is ensured for the period the participants remain in the competition.
Aside from the 10,000 Euro prize fund reserved for the best competitors, all performers in the piano competition will receive participation diplomas.

The entry fee is 80 Euro.
