Organized by the Collectif Jeune Cinema (CJC), french cooperative for distribution, the Paris festival of Different & experimental Cinemas is devoted exclusively to experimental, different, avant-garde & art cinemas. The Festival has recently opened an international call for entries. For its 14th edition, the festival will focus more specifically on Eastern productions. Submissions are open to all recent (2011-2012) experimental films.

The Lumen Prize Exhibition is an international award that celebrates the very best fine art created digitally. It aims to reach a growing, global public that is increasingly interested in art created with the latest technology. The organizers claim that it is the world’s first international prize and tour celebrating the very best fine art created digitally. In 2012, the Lumen Prize Exhibition will be awarding US$5000 worth of cash prizes. The Shortlist and winners will form the heart of the Lumen Prize Exhibition which will start touring in January 2013.
