Kaman Art Foundation is greatly honored to invite visual and performing artists and art critics for the 2012 Sowing Seeds Artist Village Residency in the most colorful state of India. Starting 20th December 2012, for 14 days, visual artists, performing artists, art critics and local community will collaborate to create work about environment and social development in rural Rajasthan. There will be opportunities for collaborative work that interacts with the rural environment. A total of 15 artists will be selected through this call.

The organizers of the fifth International Student Poster Competition (ISPC) Skopje 2012 are calling on all students studying fine arts, design, visual arts to enter ISPC 2012 by submitting posters on the subject: Money for free. Three awarded students will have a chance to win a 4 day stay in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia – with fully covered flight expenses + free accommodation – and participate in all activities of the 2013 Skopje Design Week. An exhibition with the best posters will also be organized. ISPC is the first free of charge worldwide student poster competition on social topics. It was first held in 2007.

Communication Arts’ juried competition celebrates the best use of typography as the primary visual element in design and advertising, plus new typeface designs, calligraphy and handlettering. Any typographic project first printed or produced from September 2011 through September 2012 is eligible. New for 2013 is that each winning entrant will receive a personalized Award of Excellence, milled from solid aluminum.
