Adelaide Fringe, the annual open-access arts festival in South Australia, is calling on artists and graphic designers around Australia and beyond to submit designs for the 2015 Poster Competition. The theme for this year’s Poster Competition is ‘Experience something new’. The winning entry will be incorporated into the branding and marketing material for the 2015 Adelaide Fringe.

The International Vaccine Institute (IVI), an international organization that discovers, develops and delivers vaccines to improve the health of children in developing countries, is holding its third international photo contest “The Children of the World”. The competition is open for photography work on the following themes: “Smiling Children“, “Children of Different Cultures” and “Children of Developing Countries“. The application round for the 13th edition of Berlinale Talents is underway: Emerging directors, screenwriters, producers, distributors, world sales agents, actors, cinematographers, editors, production designers, sound designers, film music composers and film critics can apply for the Berlinale Talents 2015. Three hundred (300) selected creatives from all over the world will come together from 7th through 12th February 2015, in the venues of the HAU Hebbel am Ufer theatre in Berlin with about 100 renowned experts and mentors. Berlinale Talents is the annual summit and networking platform of the Berlin International Film Festival for emerging film creatives from all over the world. It is aimed at film and TV professionals in the first ten (10) years of their career.

The annual NASA Space Settlement Contest has opened for entries for 2015 and all students up to 12th grade (18 years old) from anywhere in the world are invited to participate. Designs, original research, essays, stories, models, artwork or any other orbital space settlement related materials may be submitted. All contest participants will receive a certificate and an invitation to attend the National Space Society (NSS) 34rd annual International Space Development Conference (ISDC) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada 20-24 May 2015. Settlements may not be on a planet or moon — must be permanent, relatively self-sufficient homes, not temporary work camps. Settlers of this high frontier are expected to live inside large air-tight rotating structures holding hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people along with the animals, plants, and single celled organisms vital to comfort and survival.

Registration is now open for the 10th anniversary of the European Fashion Award FASH and students in the EU and around the world are invited to submit their best work for 2015. The European Fashion Award FASH 2015 on the topic of “Freedom” is searching for fashion as an expression of attitude: social utopia, poetic symbol of protest, or escape from the everyday routine. The overall value of the prizes for the 2015 Award is 80,000 Euro! In addition to cash prizes of 10,000 Euro students will also receive support for the presentation of their projects.
