The Foundation of Visual Education (Fundacja Edukacji Wizualnej) has opened the call for its 2016 Grand Prix Fotofestiwal photography competition, directed at individual photographers. Grand Prix Fotofestiwal is an annual competition which awards artists who present cohesive ideas and brave visions as well as excellent photographic technique. The Main Prize for 2016 is 10,000 Polish złoty (approximately 2,300 Euro).

The OSTEN 47th World Gallery Of Cartoons Skopje 2016 is now open for applications from all cartoonists — professional, semi-professional and amateur — around the world. New and original hand-drawn works on paper — cartoons, satirical drawings and comics/strips — are eligible for submission. Awarded cartoonists receive plaques, money prizes, and are also invited to the awards presenting ceremony to receive the award in person. In 2016, three (3) first awards and ten (10) special awards will be announced. One Macedonian cartoonist will also receive the CICO Award.
