The KYM (Kimse Yok Mu) association has launched a new International Cartoon Competition for 2016 — Refugees — open to all cartoonists around the world. The 2016 KYM Cartoon Competition is an invitation to raise awareness about the refugee problem and to contribute to the solution with cartoon drawings. A total of $6,000 (US) are available for the best cartoons: $3,000 for the 1st prize, $2,000 for the 2nd prize and $1,000 for the 3rd prize. Sponsor Awards will also be announced. The creators of the best three cartoons will be invited to participate in the Award Ceremony, scheduled for 27 February 2016.

World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb invites you to submit your films for the 26th edition of the Festival, taking place 6-11 June 2016 in Zagreb. All short and feature animated films completed after 1 January 2015 are eligible for submission. The best animated films will be awarded in a total of five (5) competition categories – four (4) for short films and one (1) for feature films. The total cash prize fund for 2016 is 9,500 Euro, of which 5,000 Euro are reserved for the Grand Prix awards for the best short and feature animated films.
