World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb invites you to submit your films for the 26th edition of the Festival, taking place 6-11 June 2016 in Zagreb.
All short and feature animated films completed after 1 January 2015 are eligible for submission.
The best animated films will be awarded in a total of five (5) competition categories – four (4) for short films and one (1) for feature films. The total cash prize fund for 2016 is 9,500 Euro, of which 5,000 Euro are reserved for the Grand Prix awards for the best short and feature animated films.
Short films (maximum running time 40 minutes) can be submitted to following competition categories:
- Short Film Competition
- Student Film Competition – films produced in educational institution (art schools and film schools)
- Films for Children Competition
- Croatian Film Competition – films whose country of production is Croatia and/or films by Croatian directors
Feature films (minimum running time 40 minutes) can be submitted to the following competition category:
- Feature Film Competition
The World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb is established in 1972 and is the second oldest film festival in the world completely dedicated to animation.
