The Foundation of Visual Education (Fundacja Edukacji Wizualnej) has opened the call for its 2017 Grand Prix Fotofestiwal photography competition. Every year, prizes are awarded to those artists who present cohesive ideas and brave visions as well as excellent photographic technique and who use photographic language in a conscious manner. The Main Prize for the 2017 competition is 10,000 Polish złoty (about 2,300 Euro). Other prizes include exhibition during Fotofestiwal 2017, presentations during international festivals of photography and free participation in the international Portfolio Review during Fotofestiwal 2017.

The NordArt International Exhibition of Visual Arts is open for applications for 2017 and all artists are invited to submit theirs. NordArt is an annual international art exhibition, organized every summer for four months by a non-profit cultural initiative Kunstwerk Carlshütte and brings the world together artistically. It is one of the biggest European exhibitions of contemporary art and attracts approximately 80,000 guests each year. Each year one artist is awarded the NordArt-Prize — worth 10,000 Euro — with the aim to support the art and culture scene. A Public Choice Award is awarded as well, thanks to the votes the visitors of the NordArt cast to their favorite artist. The 2017 Exhibition is scheduled for 10 June – 08 October 2017.
