The Foundation of Visual Education (Fundacja Edukacji Wizualnej) has opened the call for its 2017 Grand Prix Fotofestiwal photography competition.
Every year, prizes are awarded to those artists who present cohesive ideas and brave visions as well as excellent photographic technique and who use photographic language in a conscious manner.
The Main Prize for the 2017 competition is 10,000 Polish złoty (about 2,300 Euro). Other prizes include exhibition during Fotofestiwal 2017, presentations during international festivals of photography and free participation in the international Portfolio Review during Fotofestiwal 2017.
The organizers want to present interesting personalities and new trends of contemporary photography. This invitation is directed not only at individual photographers – also photo collectives can submit their project.
The formula of the competition is open and there are no thematic, age or geographical restrictions.
Fotofestiwal is one of the most important photographic events in Central and Eastern Europe. It includes over 50 exhibitions in different parts of the city, meetings, international Portfolio Review with over 40 experts from all over the world, workshops and slideshows, and attracts over 20,000 visitors to Lodz, Poland, every year.
Grand Prix Fotofestiwal 2017 Registration Fee
The registration fee is 100 Polish złoty (around $35 (US), 25 Euro).
