				<description><![CDATA[The Alexia Foundation is pleased to announce the call for entries for its 2018 Grants competition, for student and professional visual journalists. Grants are awarded to help the production of projects that inspire change by addressing topics that are socially significant. Submissions must have a set of still photographs, but you may also submit other story forms &#8212; including audio, video, VR or any other visual format. One grant of $20,000 for the production of a proposed project will be awarded in the Professional category. The first place winning undergraduate and graduate entrant in the Student category will both receive a grant that is equivalent to a semester-long fellowship or residency at Syracuse University, plus a cash grant to help produce the proposed body of work.]]></description>
