The 16th Arbella International Photography Contest invites amateur and professional photographers from around the world to participate in a free international competition.
This photography competition features two categories: Beauty of Imperfection and Open.
The competition offers a total of USD 10,500 in cash awards. The Grand Prize is USD 2,500.
The 2026 edition coincides with the 200th anniversary of the invention of photography and celebrates the medium’s contribution to visual storytelling and collective memory.
Beauty of Imperfection welcomes photographs that reveal character and authenticity through cracks, irregular forms, ageing, coincidence, natural transformation and other details that challenge conventional definitions of perfection.
The Open category gives participants complete creative freedom and accepts documentary, portrait, street, nature, landscape, architecture, conceptual, experimental and other photographic approaches.
Selected works will receive cash awards and may be included in the competition exhibition.
Participants aged 18–24 do not need to submit a separate application for the Future Viewfinder Award.
