The 32nd Brussels International Animation Film Festival, Anima 2013 is now open for submissions! Animated films in all formats or techniques, from any part of the world, can now be entered in this year’s Festival’s competitive programs.
Films are being accepted in 7 official categories and an Information category, reserved for special programs, documentaries, tributes and retrospectives.
Anima 2013 will award 4 Jury prizes, plus an Audience prize and it will take place in Brussels, Belgium from 8 to 17 February, 2013.
Anima 2013 Seeks to Promote Your Animated Films for Free!
Anima 2013, Brussels Cartoon and Animated Film Festival, seeks to promote cartoons and animated films from all over the world. It also seeks to foster a dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public, and to raise awareness of quality animation among film and television distributors.
The Festival is organizing an international competition as well as a national competition for films produced in Belgium; both competition are open to all animated films and make no distinction between formats or techniques, regardless of its geographic origin.
Films can be submitted in the following official categories:
- Short-film previews: short animated films made after 30 June 2011 regardless of its geographic origin, except of Belgium.
- Student film: short animated films made after 30 June 2011 regardless of its geographic origin, except of Belgium.
- Music videos and Commercials: short animated films made after 30 June 2011 regardless of its geographic origin.
- Feature-film previews: animated feature films made after 30 June 2011, regardless of its geographic origin.
- Feature-film for children previews: animated feature films made after 30 June 2011, regardless of its geographic origin.
- Belgian shorts: Belgian animated films completed after 30 June 2011.
- Short-film previews ‘The Animation Night’: short animated films made after 30 June 2011 regardless of its geographic origin.
The festival also nominates its selection of films for the Cartoon d’Or, from the European films that win prizes.
