International Photo Festival GRID2012 and Blurb are proud to announce the first edition of the Blurb&GRID Talent Award Contest powered by Viewbook.
Both professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit a photo story or series related to the theme Your Reality via Viewbook. The prizes are five printed copies of your own book by Blurb, €150 or €100 worth of Blurb vouchers!
Enter the First Blurb&GRID Talent Award Photography Contest
GRID2012’s central theme is Urban Reality Check – Reflections on Changing behaviour and space. Since Your Reality is in line with this theme, the organizers ask you to express your personal vision of reality. Worldwide society and communities are constantly changing, which has positive and negative effects on its people, both economic and social. Assess and consider the changes that you are perceiving around you, document these and develop your personal vision.
Participants are invited to upload their photos in a personal portfolio via Viewbook. The photo story or series is allowed to consist of min. 3 to max. 10 photos (on 300 dpi), also a description of the project (max. 300 words) and a short personal bio are required. A lay-out of the pages (max. 3 spreads) is optional.
You can submit your proposal through three steps:
- Sign up for your free Viewbook trail (if you already have a Viewbook account proceed to the next step),
- Upload your images,
- In order to share your story, click ‘Share’ in the main toolbar and then click the GRID2012 icon.
The first prize winner will receive 5 printed copies of his or her book by Blurb and an One Year Viewbook Pro subscription (value $190). The second prize winner will receive Blurb vouchers of €150 and the third prize winner is offered Blurb vouchers of €100. In addition all participants will receive an exclusive $15 discount on all Viewbook subscriptions.
