Sarajevo Film Festival and the Balkan Documentary Center are currently accepting entries for the second Rough Cut Boutique workshop for documentary filmmakers.
The idea behind the SFF/BDC Rough Cut Boutique is to offer coaching, expert advice and access to decision-makers that can have crucial influence on moving the projects forward in their final stage.
After the very successful start in 2011, the second RCB will take place between 9 and 12 July 2012.
A Promising Platform for Documentary Makers
The workshop will put together filmmakers of 5 promising projects at rough cut stage with the top documentary experts from Europe to work together during 6 intensive sessions.
Documentary RCB is open for film projects:
- by authors from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and UNMI Kosovo;
- feature-length documentary films (60 min and more)
- in a rough cut stage
- for which there is a potential international and regional market.
Each project competes for the opportunity to be presented at the CineLink Work in Progress and have a chance to win Work-in-Progress Post Republic Award (80.000 EUR) and Work-in-Progress RestArt Award (20.000 EUR).
The best project dealing with human rights issue will receive the FIFHD, Geneva cash award of 1.500 EUR.
