The basic aim of the competition is to collect photos of cultural heritage to illustrate articles in the worldwide free encyclopedia Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Foundation projects. Wiki Loves Folklore 2026 will recognize 149 outstanding contributors to the contest. Awards include global and regional prizes for photography, video, and audio.

The 2026 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC), on the theme “Resilience“, has been announced. The purpose of TISDC is to encourage international creative design exchanges, develop creative design talents, showcase the international image of Taiwan on creative design, and establish Taiwan’s international design reputation. The total prize fund for 2026 is more than $120,000 in prize money — $13,000 of which are reserved for the winner of the Grand Prix. Awarding cups and certificates will also be awarded.
