Colors of Life – International Photo Contest

Colors of Life is an international photo contest representing an opportunity for photographers worldwide (professionals, students and amateurs) to submit and exhibit their works in the United States and internationally.

The work of the participants selected by Colors of Life will be submitted to a jury of leading international gallery owners, academics and artists.

A collective exhibition of the 35 selected finalist photographs in the contest, will be hosted.

Objective

Submit your photos on the given theme: “A dream in color“. Any form of photographic medium, black and white, color, non-silver, computer-manipulated, etc., is eligible.

Prizes

  • 1st prize of the Competition will receive US $1,250
  • 2nd prize of the Competition will receive US $900
  • 3rd prize of the Competition will receive US $550
  • Two honorable mentions will be chosen from the remaining finalist photographs.

Rules

  • Open to all photographers 18 years and older.
  • Any form of photographic medium, black and white, color, non-silver, computer-manipulated, etc., is eligible.
  • Artists should feel free to interpret this year’s theme in the broadest sense to allow full range of their creativity.

Before sending your entries you have to have payed the entry fee.

The following image formats are required:

  • JPG/JPEG, TIFF
  • Each file size should not exceed 2 MB (1200 dpi in its longest dimension)

Finalists’ selected archival prints must be received together with a CV/resume and a brief description of the artist’s work in a CD/DVD and suggested market price, no later than 30 September 2010. The maximum dimension of an archival print should not exceed 40 inches (100 cm) in any direction. Selected work must be mounted in a black metal frame, white museum mat (if matted), plexiglass only, and ready to hang.

Entry fee

A non-refundable entry fee of US $40 entitles each artist to submit up to 3 photographs.

Additional images may be submitted at a cost of US $10 per image.
