The Crested Butte Film Festival welcomes you to submit your creative work to the 2nd Annual festival. Held in the high mountains of Colorado just as the aspens are turning, CBFF showcases the best of American and international cinema in what is known as “America’s last great ski town.”
This festival is dedicated to providing an annual forum that celebrates the art of film and the power of storytelling.
In 2012, for the first time, the Festival will be bestowing two awards on filmmakers – the Audience Choice Award and the ACT Now Award.
The 2nd Annual Crested Butte Film Festival (CBFF) is Calling for Creative Work
This is an intimate festival, with all venues within short walking and biking distance to each other.
The organizers seek the best in narrative, documentary, foreign language, social action, outdoor adventure, and children’s films. Submissions of any length and subject matter will be considered.
Film entries may be of any subject, from any country, and of any length. Submitted films should either be in English or include English subtitles. If the film is selected for the Festival, it is the responsibility of the filmmaker to provide the Crested Butte Film Festival with three exhibition copies by 7 August 2012.
For the first time, CBFF will be bestowing two awards on filmmakers. The first is the Audience Choice Award that goes to the film voted “best” by our audience. All films at the festival will be considered for this award. The second is the ACT Now Award. This is a cash award that goes to a nonprofit organization linked to a documentary film. If your film has a call-to-action component to it, it will be considered for this award.
This year’s dates are 27 – 30 September, 2012.
Entry Fees
Entry fees start from $35 for short and $45 for feature films. A discount is available if you submit through Withoutabox.
