DepicT! wants filmmakers worldwide to show their stuff in just a minute and a half. DepicT! is open to anyone, on any budget, from anywhere in the world working in any genre. Just make sure your super short is distinctive, imaginative and engaging to be in with a chance of winning some priceless industry exposure and exclusive prizes.
DepicT! is open to short films of all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work.
DepicT! is a Watershed Project as part of the Encounters International Film Festival.
Objective
Create short films not longer than 90 seconds in any technique or genre.
Prizes
- Main DepicT! ‘10 Award:

- A place on a short course at the National Film and Television School in 2011
- The British Council will automatically accept the winning film into its International Film Festivals Support scheme, offering up to three travel grants if the work is selected

- DepicT! ‘10 Shortlist:
- Film exposure and promotion through depict.org, at Encounters International Film Festival (16 – 21 Nov ‘10) and on BBC New Film Network

- Opportunities to apply for travel bursaries to attend Encounters

Rules
- DepicT! is open to anyone, on any budget, from anywhere in the world working in any genre.
- DepicT! is open to short films of all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work.
- The duration of your film(s) must not exceed 90 seconds including titles and credits.
- Only films completed since September ‘09 may be submitted. Entries made specifically for DepicT! are encouraged.
- The maximum number of entries per individual is two.
- The primary contact completing the submission process must be authorised to submit the film(s) and must have obtained necessary permissions for the inclusion of copyrighted music and/or images within the films.
- If the original language is not English, please ensure that the film includes English subtitles.
