design100’s New York Design Awards 2014

design100, the leading global forum for applied design, has recently launched the first New York Design Awards competition, part of the City Design Awards series held in London, Melbourne and Sydney.

Awards covering over 40 categories (including Architecture, Advertising, Interior, Digital, Service, Textile and Graphic Design) provide recognition across the design spectrum and are open to both design professionals and those who commission design, a unique opportunity to see the top designers, agencies, studios and enterprises compete.

Entry is open to projects created or available in the New York marketplace.

Supported by the world’s most creative minds and organizations, The New York Design Advisory Panel is the marketplace eyes and ears of the program, providing key recommendations for curated entries, serving as ambassadors for the awards. The advisory panel includes: Debbie Millman, Sterling Brands; Peter Barna, Pratt Institute; Dan Formosa, Smart Design; Willy Wong, AIGA NY, NYC & Co; Sam Cannon, Razorfish; Frederic Bonn, JWT; Matteo Bolgna, Mucca; Rick Bell, AIA NY; Emily Oberon, Pentagram; Jake Barton, Local Projects; Michael Arad, Handel Architects; Steven Cornwell, Howard Hughes Corporation; Kiel Mead, Fab; Odile Hainaut, WANTED Design; and Aaron Myerson, NYCEDC.

Presented as part of NYCxDESIGN, the awards will culminate with the winners’ presentation on 20 May 2014.
