Ghost Project 2011: New Simplicity – Mikser Festival

Following five years of continuous efforts in discovering and nurturing fresh design talents in Serbia, the annual exhibition Ghost Project has become the central Talent platform within “Mikser Festival”, the biggest Southeast European festival of creativity and innovation.

The cultural organization Mikser is pleased to announce that in 2011, the Ghost Project initiative is expanding beyond the Balkans and is calling young industrial designers and architects from all over the world to take part in the competition.

The winning projects will be part of the core Talent exhibition at the Mikser Festival, Southeast Europe’s largest regional festival of creativity and innovation.

Objective

Ghost Project’s slogan for 2011 is “NEW SIMPLICITY“.

Products, furniture, lighting, everyday objects, home accessories and interior elements that represent original solutions to everyday problems in a fresh yet simple way, will be evaluated according to the following criteria: ergonomics, innovative features that enhance the quality of contemporary life, rational production costs and environmentally friendly production process. “NEW SIMPLICITY” is an initiative to multiply networks of progressive activities among young designers, to establish connections between different cultures, among designers and manufacturers, but also man and nature.

Above all, the slogan “NEW SIMPLICITY” should encourage designers to take social and economic challenges as inspiration for solutions that open up new possibilities for our tumultuous times.
