Good Design Korea 2026

The Good Design Korea award program is accepting entries for 2026. The Award offers a comprehensive platform for creators worldwide to validate their design excellence.

Established in 1985, Good Design Korea is a government-certified award. Expert juries evaluate entries across 7 disciplines.

Excellent designs receive the Good Design Korea mark, while 80 exceptional works win top honors, including the prestigious Presidential Prize.

To accommodate a wide spectrum of creative industries, the competition welcomes entries across seven distinct disciplines:

  • Product
  • Visual/Communication
  • Digital Media/Contents
  • Space/Environment
  • Service/Experience
  • Fashion/Textile
  • Craft

Entrants can submit their works according to these specific fields. Each submission is carefully reviewed by a dedicated panel of specialized experts tailored to the respective category, ensuring a highly professional and relevant assessment.

A Rigorous Two-Stage Evaluation

The selection process is meticulously designed to identify the absolute best in the industry. It operates in two definitive stages:

  1. Physical Evaluation: This initial stage evaluates and determines the ‘GD Selected’ entries. Successful designs at this level are officially awarded the prestigious Good Design Korea mark.
  2. Final Presentation: The competition then advances to a deeper level where the Top 80 Finalists are rigorously evaluated. This stage determines the final rankings and elevates these top-tier entries to the elite status of ‘Prize Winners’.

Exclusive Benefits and Global Reach

Securing a win extends far beyond the immense honor of receiving a Korean government certification for design excellence. The program provides winners with extensive online and offline promotional support throughout the Korean market, serving as a powerful catalyst for business growth.

Furthermore, Good Design Korea actively facilitates international expansion through a mutual recognition agreement with Good Design Australia. Under this exclusive partnership, a winner of one award can seamlessly acquire the winner title of the other by simply fulfilling the administrative fees, bypassing the standard evaluation process entirely.

The Grand Finale in Seoul

The annual program culminates in a spectacular celebration held in Seoul every November. The Top 80 Prize Winners are granted the exclusive opportunity to be honored on stage during the grand award ceremony.

This milestone event is accompanied by a dedicated public exhibition, brilliantly showcasing the winning works to industry leaders, media, and design enthusiasts from around the world.
