Application is open for Istanbul Photo Awards 2020, an international news photography contest, open to professional photographers worldwide.
The contest aims to contribute to the sphere of news photography with generous awards, worldwide exhibitions and photobook.
More than $40,000 are available in prizes which will be awarded to the best three photos in each competition category.
Winning photos will gain worldwide visibility.
Istanbul Photo Awards 2020 includes the following competition categories:
- Single News
- Story News
- Single Sports
- Story Sports
The 1st place winning photo in the Single News category will be awarded with the “Photo of the Year” award — $8,000 in total.
The contest is annually open for professional photographers.
Submitted photos should be taken in 2019.
International jury will select the winner photos in March 2020.
The Istanbul Photo Awards contest is organized by Anadolu Agency. 10,000 photographers with 150 nationalities have submitted 100,000 photographs in 5 years of the contest.
