Animage — 16th International Animation Festival of Pernambuco is accepting submissions for 2026 and invites entries by filmmakers from around the world. The Festival includes Competitive and Non-competitive Screenings of national and international animation films, in addition to special sessions, feature films, masterclass, exhibition and animation workshops for both beginners, children and professionals. As part of the Animage competitive programs, trophies and prize money will be awarded in 2026. The best Feature, Short, Children’s Short and Brazilian short film will each be awarded with R$8,000.

The Festival includes Competitive and Non-competitive Screenings of national and international animation films, in addition to special sessions, feature films, masterclass, exhibition and animation workshops for both beginners, children and professionals. As part of the Animage competitive programs, trophies and prize money will be awarded in 2024. The best Short film will be awarded with R$4,000.

Animage — 8th International Animation Festival of Pernambuco is accepting submissions for 2017 and invites entries by filmmakers from around the world. The Festival includes Competitive and Non-competitive Screenings of national and international animation films, in addition to special sessions, feature films, masterclass, exhibition and animation workshops for both beginners, children and professionals. As part of the Animage competitive programs, trophies and a total of 13,000 Brazilian real will be awarded in 2017. The Best Short Film will receive R$ 4,000 and the Best Children’s Short Film, Best Brazilian Short Film and the Best Short Film by the Audience, will receive R$ 3,000 each.

Registration is now open for competitive screenings in Animage – IV International Animation Festival of Pernambuco. The selected films will be screened during the festival, which has all the programming free, and takes place from 26th to 30th September in Recife, Brazil. These films will compete for cash prize and trophies. Filmmakers from any state or country can register their films with no entry fee. Only Short films in animation up to 30 minutes and released in 2011 are able to participate.
