The Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI-IFF) has opened the 2015 Call for Entries and calling for independent films from around the world. The Festival includes action/adventure, animation, comics-oriented, documentary, horror/suspense, humor, and science fiction/fantasy short and long films, features prizes and trophies and is judged by a panel of film industry luminaries. The Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI-IFF) is now accepting submissions for its 2013 event, to be held 18-21 July during Comic-Con International at the San Diego Convention Center. In 2013, the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (“CCI: IFF”) celebrates it’s ninth year as a juried event. Submitted films must be no longer than 95 minutes in length and must have a completion date within the last two (2) years (2010-2012). One submission per filmmaker is allowed.

As part of deviantART’s sponsorship of Artists’ Alley at Comic-Con International: San Diego, Comic-Con will be providing two scholarships to emerging artists – one web-based comic artist and one traditionally-based comic artist – who will be guests of deviantART at Comic-Con. The chosen artists will spend two days at Comic-Con, where they will be able to cruise the convention floor, attend panels, and be introduced by Comic-Con to prominent artists in the industry, with a chance to pick their brains and gain artistic inspiration right from the source. Any emerging comic artist located anywhere in the world who is over the age of 18 can submit a Portfolio for consideration.
