If you are aged 18 to 35, born, studying, or living in Europe, this is your moment. Whether you’re an individual innovator or part of a collaborative team, you’re welcome to submit up to five entries showcasing your vision for a sustainable future. Winning this competition is an entry into a pan-European movement of change-makers. As a winner, your work and your voice will be amplified through The Next Gen Design Traveling Exhibition, The Next Gen Design Digital Showcase, The Next Gen Design Residency Program and The Next Gen Design Residency Awards, with a total prize fund of 2,000 EUR per festival.

Designaustria has announced the Joseph Binder Award 2024: Show Your Color competition, inviting designers worldwide to prepare their best works. The Joseph Binder Award is an international competition and showroom with a focus on graphic design and illustration. Designers have the opportunity to submit their ideas and projects in 15 categories and have them evaluated by a critical, competent and internationally experienced jury.

The Joseph Binder Award is a platform for a community, passionate on illustration and graphic design. It is a stage for designers works and celebrating creativity. Joseph Binder Award 2020, the international graphic design and illustration competition has opened for entry to creatives from all over the world. Participation is open to all graphic designers, illustrators, advertising agencies and to design students, for projects in the fields of graphic design and illustration published or realized in 2018 and after. In each category, a Joseph Binder Award in gold, silver, and bronze will be awarded in the form of trophies. In addition, the jury may give away up to three merit awards in each of the graphic design and illustration categories.

The Joseph Binder Award 2018 competition, with the motto: Colour and form are inseparable, has opened for entry to creatives worldwide. Graphic designers, illustrators, advertising agencies and students from all over the world are invited to enter their works realized in 2016 and after. Entries are accepted in 3 main categories: Graphic Design, Illustration and Design Fiction. In each category, a Joseph Binder Award in gold, silver, and bronze will be awarded in the form of trophies: the ball of crumpled paper encased in glass is a symbol for the creative process. A total of 6,000 Euro will be awarded in cash prizes in the Design Fiction category. Additionally, up to five Merit Awards per category may be awarded. Furthermore, the international ico-D Excellence Award will honour a project displaying outstanding design merits.

The biannual Joseph Binder Award competition is now open for entry for 2016 and invites all designers and illustrators around the world, including students, to participate with their best works. The 2016 competition theme is “What is your dimension?” and works completed between 2014 and today are eligible for submission. In November 2016, trophies and cash prizes will be awarded to the best works, which will also be published in a catalog and presented in an exhibition at designforum Wien.
