Garden and Landscape Photographic Arts (GALPA) Ltd. has recently opened their 2013 International Garden Photographer of the Year competition for entries. International Garden Photographer of the Year is the world’s premier competition and exhibition specialising in garden, plant, flower and botanical photography. It is open to everyone anywhere in the world – no distinction is drawn between professional and amateur photographers. GALPA’s International Garden Photographer of the Year 2013 will be awarded £5,000!

Garden and Landscape Photographic Arts (GALPA) Ltd. is currently hosting the 6th edition of its annual photography competition – International Garden Photographer of the Year. This is a one of a kind photography competition that focuses on plants and gardens. There are eight categories to enter and a special section for people under 16 years of age. The International Garden Photographer of the Year 2012 will be awarded with £5000! Winners will be announced at an exhibition in March, 2013. A book of the exhibition is normally produced each year.

The fourth annual International Garden Photographer of the Year competition ends on 30 November. There is still time to submit your entries. The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. Entries are welcome from any country in the world. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image. Uniquely among major photographic competitions, all entrants can receive professional feedback on their entries – after the judging of the competition is completed and on request.
