Garden and Landscape Photographic Arts (GALPA) Ltd. has recently opened their 2013 International Garden Photographer of the Year competition for entries.
International Garden Photographer of the Year is the world’s premier competition and exhibition specialising in garden, plant, flower and botanical photography. It is open to everyone anywhere in the world – no distinction is drawn between professional and amateur photographers.

GALPA’s International Garden Photographer of the Year 2013 Has Opened for Entries
Photographers can enter either single images or a set of six images in a portfolio. Images do not have to be taken in a specified year.
In 2013 the categories are:
- The Beauty of Plants
- Beautiful Gardens
- Wildflower Landscapes
- Wildlife in the Garden
- Greening the City
- Bountiful Earth
- Breathing Spaces
- Trees, Woods and Forests
In addition to the annual competition, there are three ‘photo project’ categories that run throughout the year, with results announced three times a year.

Entry Fees
In 2013, this fee is £12 for 4 single images, or £25 for a portfolio. Under 16s can enter for free.
