Athens Photo Festival (APhF:26) is now accepting submissions from artists and photographers for its 2026 exhibition program. The Festival will feature the work of over 100 artists from all over the world, selected through this international open call. The selected works will be exhibited from 4 June 2026 to 28 July 2026 at the Benaki Museum/Pireos 138, one of the most prestigious museums in Greece, displayed in over 3,000 square meters of exhibition space.

Athens Photo Festival 2024 (APhF:24) is now accepting submissions from artists and photographers for its exhibition program. Embracing a variety of cultural, artistic, social, and political perspectives, the Festival invites projects from the entire spectrum of the photographic medium, ranging from fine art, conceptual, documentary photography, and photojournalism to other media, including video, performance, and installation. In this way, the organizers seek to stimulate a critical dialogue that embraces a variety of expressive means, thematic areas, and approaches – from a traditional photography background to the most contemporary practices. Athens Photo Festival will feature the work of over 100 artists from all over the world. The selected works will be exhibited at the Benaki Museum / Pireos 138, one of the most prestigious museums in Greece. The main program will occupy all the exhibition spaces of the Museum, covering over 3,000 square meters.

The Hellenic Centre for Photography is calling for entries for the 2017 Athens Photo Festival (APhF:17) and invites submissions by artists from all around the world. This time, APhF is themed: “Still Searching” and open for a wide variety of works, ranging from fine art to documentary and photojournalism, photo-based installations and multimedia works. Selected works will become part of the APhF:17 exhibition programme and presented at the Benaki Museum, one of the most prestigious museums in Greece. The Athens Photo Festival (APhF) has opened submissions for the 2016 edition, themed: [mis/dis]placed, welcoming artists/photographers, collectives, curators, galleries and organizations worldwide to submit their work. APhF:16 has three international open calls (Main Exhibitions, Screenings and Photobook Show programmes) and one, specific to Greek photographers (Young Greek Photographers exhibition). The selected projects will be exhibited and will get their work in front of an international network of professionals. The Hellenic Centre for Photography is calling for submissions for APhF:13 – Athens Photo Festival 2013. Proposals from established or emerging artists, galleries, curators and organisations worldwide are being accepted in all areas of contemporary photography. The selected projects will be presented in the upcoming Αthens Photo Festival, which takes place in Athens during the months of October and November. Each year, the festival focuses on a specific theme, encompassing photography, multimedia, talks and research. This year’s festival theme will explore the concept of “Fluid Identities” in the context of the changing state of contemporary society, both physical and metaphorical, and how it is reflected on environments, people and cultures.
