The Fondation Jacques Rougerie – Académie des Beaux-Arts has launched the 2026 edition of their international Architecture and Innovation Competition. The competition is open for architectural project related to flood-prone lands, the sea, or space. In 2026, a total of six International Grand Prizes will be awarded, each endowed with €7,000, for a total prize fund of €42,000.

The competition rewards creative and visionary ideas that integrate diverse disciplines: science, climatology, geography, and much more. An international jury will recognize biomimetic and multidisciplinary projects that reinvent architecture to meet the challenges of the future. In 2025, €20,000 in prizes will be awarded for architectural projects related to space, the sea, coastal issues, and rising sea levels.
