Now in its fifth year, the Reshape competition, themed: Cognified Matter, has opened registration for 2019 to creatives from all parts of the world. The challenge of Reshape V focuses on future applications of Wearable Tech and Smart Products. The organizers look forward to receiving project proposals aimed at questioning, in a constructive and creative way, the role of technology in the definition of new paradigms for your society. Three winners will be shortlisted, respectively from the Wearable technology and Smart product category. Additionally, five honorable mentions will be nominated for each category. Winning designers will be awarded a participation Reshape Forum, Beca program for the Design for Wearables postgraduate at IED Barcelona, and a financial prize.

Noumena, in collaboration with IN(3D)USTRY and Fira Barcelona, is accepting proposals for Reshape 18 | Sensing materialities – wearable technology and consumer goods competition. In its fourth edition, Reshape focuses on customized garments or products, promoting a healthy living for individuals in everyday life. The jury members will select up to 10 projects to nominate for prize consideration. From the selected projects will be decided three prize-winning projects and up to seven honorary mentions, which will be included in the online platform of Reshape and will be invited to participate to the Reshape Forum.

Noumena, in collaboration with IN(3D)USTRY and Fira Barcelona, is accepting proposals in the Reshape 17 – Wearable Technology Competition, themed Programmable Skins. Wearables are becoming an active, supplemental skin that not only protect our body but also facilitate its functions (growth, movement, reproduction, respiration, nutrition etc.) or rehabilitate the environment. Being turned into the medium that regulates the relation between our body and its surroundings, wearables can now collect and exchange information in an attempt to maintain equilibrium. Reshape aims to enhance these impulses in fashion design. The total prize is 2,700 Euro and will be distributed among the first, second and third winner accordingly. Apart from the winners, the jury will select 5-7 honorable mentions.

Noumena Architecture is currently accepting proposals in the Reshape 15 Wearable Technology Competition, with the intention to explore the possibilities of wearable technology, while setting design limitations aside. We move from a human subject that uses a bunch of tools in a deliberate and discontinuous way, to a humanoid who dresses prosthesis digitally interconnected. In other words, humans and machines become hybrids. In your individual or group proposals, reflect the mission of Reshape: merging ideas with fabrication processes and market viabilities.
