Omi International Arts Center is calling for submissions (visual arts, sound art, performance, social practice) for its 2018 Art Omi residency program. Art Omi invites artists from every continent, representing a wide diversity of artistic styles and practices, to gather in rural New York State to experiment, collaborate and share ideas. During four weeks each June – July, concentrated time for creative work is balanced with the stimulation of cultural exchange and critical appraisal. Artists are provided with a private studio, shared living quarters, and meals at no cost, but are responsible for their travel and material expenses.

Omi International Arts Center is accepting application for 2017, for its annual international residency programs and invites artists from around the world to apply. Omi seeks to foster an environment of creative exploration and exchange, professional opportunity and exposure, and a stylistically and culturally diverse community for creative artists from around the world. This year a total of 95 artists will be invited to take part in several different Omi’s residency programs, in Columbia County, New York.

Omi International Arts Center announces it is now accepting applications for the collaborative Music Omi musicians residency program, taking place 11 August—28 August, 2016. Performing composers, composing performers, improvising musicians, experimental and creative music-makers, traditional and folk players, singer-songwriters, and sound artists from all musical disciplines and backgrounds who wish to take part in a collaborative music residency are encouraged to apply. Every summer, Music Omi invites 12-15 musicians—composers and performers from around the world—to come together for two and a half weeks in a unique collaborative music making residency program located at Omi International Arts Center in Ghent, NY.

Every summer, Music Omi invites musicians to come together for a unique collaborative music making residency program. Music Omi encourages its participants to share ideas; perform each other’s works and write music for one another while exploring their own musical vision; and broaden their artistic and cultural horizons. A singular feature of the Music Omi experience is the presentation of public performances during and at the conclusion of the residency, sharing some of their collaborative work with the public.

Omi International Artists Residency invites visual artists from every continent, representing a wide diversity of artistic styles, to gather in rural New York State to experiment, collaborate and share ideas. Applications from self-taught professional artists are being accepted as well. The Residency takes place 19th June 2014 through 16th July 2014.

Omi International Arts Center will start accepting applications for the 2013 Music Omi International Musicians Residency from November. This residency program is open to musicians worldwide. Special travel stipends will be provided for Dutch and Indian musicians, as well as for musicians from the Czech Republic. Selected candidates will be announced in April 2013.

Omi International Arts Center is preparing for its 2013 International Artists Residency program and will start accepting applications in November. Eligible to apply are visual artists from all over the world who have been professionally active for at least the past 3 years. Having studied art is not a requirement and applications will be accepted from self-taught professional artists. Currently enrolled students will not be considered. Artists from specific regions and/or dealing with specific issues, have greater chances of being allotted a residency.
