The 10th Roca International Design Contest – jumpthegap® 2021 has been announced. The contest will once again promote the creativity and talent of students and professionals. Starting with its 10th edition, jumpthegap® proposes its participants the challenge of developing creative solutions that respond to the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The competition will award 4 prizes of 2,000€ for the winner of each category and 8 prizes of 500€ for the 1st and 2nd runner up of each category. The best of the best project will be selected from the winners of each of the 4 categories and will receive a prize of 5,000€.

With the outbreak of COVID-19, Roca has decided to launch a special edition of its international design competition jumpthegap®. This time the competition is focused on proposing new products or services related to the functions of the bathroom space, such as sanitation, hygiene, and wellbeing, but that could now be required in so many spaces, public or private, in a COVID scenario. A total of 5 prizes of 1,000 Euro each will be awarded to the 5 selected projects.

The 8th Roca jumpthegap® competition has been announced and will soon open registration for conceptual, sustainable and innovative solutions for the bathroom space of the future. The competition is open to any architect, interior architect, industrial designer, interior designer, building engineer or another related professional under 40 years old. Students in architecture, industrial design, building engineering or other related discipline currently enrolled in an university, college or school under 36, are also eligible. The 2018-2019 competition is endowed with 26,000 Euro in prizes: 10,000 Euro in the student category, 10,000 Euro in the professional category and a special We Are Water Foundation Prize awarded by the We Are Water Foundation of Roca, set at 6,000 Euro.

Registration has opened for the 7th Jumpthegap Roca International Design Contest and all creative people around the world are invited to join. This edition of the competition is a very special as it coincides with Roca’s 100th Anniversary celebration (1917-2017). Two winning projects will be chosen and will receive a prize of 10,000 Euro each, one in each competition category. One special We Are Water Foundation Prize of 6,000 Euro, will also be awarded.

The 6th Jump The Gap International Design Contest is about to open registration soon, to celebrate yet another year of fresh designs by young designers or architects and design or architecture students. Jumpthegap is an International Design Contest promoted by Roca with the collaboration of BCD Barcelona Design Centre that is looking for new, innovative and sustainable concepts for the bathroom space. Two winning projects will be chosen, and will receive a prize of 4,000 Euro each, one in the professional category and one in the student category, during the award ceremony in October 2015 at the Roca Madrid Gallery. One Special Sustainability Prize will be chosen as well, among the 30 preselected and will receive 1000 Euro.
