The 2015 SLANT Open International Landscape Design Competition – themed “Testing The Water” – is now open for entry by designers around the world. This is the 6th annual SLANT competition and you are invited to design a ‘virtual space’ which will have water as its central theme. The theme is open to your interpretation, so how you choose to design with water, and how much or how little water you chose to include is entirely up to you. You can place your imagined/virtual plot anywhere in the world and in so doing you are always designing in a geographical, topographical, climatic and cultural environment of your own choosing. You are also not limited in any way by budget, however designs must be ‘reasonably practical’, and should not be harmful to the environment. There will be nine (9) merit awards and two (2) cash prizes on offer for the best designs. The total cash prize fund is 700 Euro.

The SLANT non-profit organization has recently announced and opened its 2013/2014 International Landscape Design Competition, themed “Transition”. For the fifth SLANT competition you are invited to submit a design for a public space/park which will be designed to incorporate, in part or in whole, the concept of “Transition” and you’re free to interpret this concept as you please. This is an open international competition and as such is open to all designers of all disciplines, and at all levels of experience.

The Slant Open International Competition is back with a new theme – Evoking Memories. Contestants are invited to submit a design for a show garden which, if selected will become part of SlantFest, Slant’s new on-line garden festival for summer 2013. This is an open and international competition and as such is open to all designers from right around the world, of all disciplines, and at all levels of experience. The total prize fund is €5,400!

Slant is announcing the Slant Awards Spring 2012 Competition! This competition is open to all, with the challenge being to design a concept plan for a city sector which is undergoing urban renewal. As in previous competitions Slant wants participants to have as free a hand as possible when designing this project; therefore the brief and the entry requirements are kept to a minimum. This is a worldwide competition open to all those who have interest in landscape design and urban planning.

Slant is challenging you to design a garden for a private residence for the Slant Garden Design Award 2011. You may enter either as an individual, or in a group of two or three or four. You are free to choose the country in which you would like this imaginary house and garden to be located. This is a worldwide competition open to all those who have an interest in garden design, from Landscape Architects and Garden Designers, to Architects and Designers of all varieties, from Artists to Horticulturalists and even including home owners with little or no previous experience. This is a project of the imagination, for the imagination.

The international competition for the Slant Awards is being held this year for the first time and on this occasion is aimed exclusively at students of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Design. The central idea behind this challenge is that the project in question is a “virtual project”, one that has been created specifically for this competition. The Slant Awards competition has been designed to offer students an interesting challenge with what we believe are interesting rewards, and we have tried to keep it as simple as possible.
