After last year’s inaugural program, SoundCloud is launching its 2nd annual SoundCloud Community Fellowship to support and encourage the best creative minds to express their vision through sound. From mid-August to mid-October 2012, SoundCloud will support up to 10 Fellows as they pursue a project of their own design using sound as a creative medium. People at SoundCloud, are continuously striving to unmute the web and now they’re looking for leaders to join their mission! Vancouver Film School (VFS), Canada’s premier entertainment arts institution and one of the most distinguished worldwide, is pleased to announce its partnership with SoundCloud, the world’s leading social sound platform, to offer a full-tuition scholarship for its one-year Sound Design for Visual Media program. So exciting! Contestants will be stretched to create a brand new soundscape based on five different categories describing entities not normally associated with sound. Open globally to all SoundCloud users, the scholarship is valued at $28,250 for Canadian students and $43,250 for international residents.
