ÉCU 2015, the 10th European Independent Film Festival is looking for the world’s best independent films and currently open for submissions. The Festival is competitive and focuses on original and independent works that demonstrate quality, creativity and innovation across fourteen categories. Twenty-four (24) awards will be announced as a result of the competition and selected films will become part of the 2015 official Festival program. Submitted films must have been completed after 1st May 2013 with no more than 50% of the funding coming from a studio or broadcaster. Films of up to 30 minutes in duration are considered short.

Submissions are now open for ÉCU 2014 – The 9th European Independent Film Festival, dedicated to the discovery and advancement of the very best independent filmmakers from around the world. The Festival is competitive and films can be submitted in different categories. Dramatic feature and short films, comedies, documentaries, animated, experimental and youth films, as well as music videos can all be submitted. Films are judged in 15 categories, 7 of which are open to non-European filmmakers (from the Americas, Australia, Africa, and Asia), and compete for 25 awards.
