The United Nations / Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon Awards are now open for entries in the 2017 competition. Submitted entries should represent work done from the beginning of September 2016, to the 15th of October 2017, reflecting the importance of human dignity, mutual respect and friendship among nations, as well as economic consideration and environmental responsibilities towards each other. The total prize money fund for 2017 is $18,000, of which $10,000 are reserved for the First prize. Plaques will also be awarded to the first three best cartoons and the ten honorable mentions.

The total prize money fund for 2016 is $18,000, of which $10,000 are reserved for the First Prize winner, $5,000 for the Second Prize winner and $3,000 for the Third Prize winner. Plaques will also be awarded to the winners of the first three prizes. Ten (10) honorable mentions will also be announced.

The United Nations / Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon Awards have opened entry for 2015, to once again award the best political cartoons reflecting the spirit and the principles of the United Nations. Eligible are entries by political cartoonists of print publications, electronic media, and on-line media, in any language. For this year’s competition, thirteen (13) awards will be granted, three (3) of which are monetary prizes and ten (1) are Honorable Mentions in the form of plaques. A total of $18,000 will be awarded to the best political cartoons.
