International Compost Awareness Week’s Committee invites you to get involved in ICAW 2024 and participate in the Annual Poster Contest from 1st September 2023. The theme for 2024 is COMPOST…Nature’s Climate Champion! The goal is to encourage more composting around the world. The successful poster winner will receive a $500 prize. The new poster will be sent to thousands of people celebrating International Compost Awareness Week, which is held the first full week of May every year. The dates for 2024 are 5 May — 11 May.

The International Compost Awareness Week Committee of the US Composting Council has opened the Call for Entries for the 2016 International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) Poster Contest. This is US Composting Council’s 14th Annual Poster Contest and the theme is “Compost! The Soil and Water Connection“. Anyone who wishes to share their artistic creativity to promote the 2016 theme is invited to participate. The winning poster will be used to promote International Compost Awareness Week 2016 — scheduled for 1-7 May, 2016 — and the winner will receive a $500 savings bond prize.

The U.S. Composting Council (USCC) has recently announced the Call for Entries for the 2015 International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) poster contest. This year’s participants are encouraged to submit a design that reflects the theme “Be Loyal to Your Soil: Compost!”. The winning poster in the 7th annual ICAW poster contest will serve as the 2015 International Compost Awareness Week promotional media piece and be distributed to more than 800 US Composting Council members, state recycling offices and non-profit organizations nationwide. The overall winner will receive a $500 prize; and divisional winners (junior, defined as third through eighth grade; senior defined as 8th through 12th grade; and a category of college/adult) will be highlighted on the USCC website and social media.
