Verzasca Foto Festival is calling for submissions to the 2027 edition, the first biennial edition of the festival. The call is open for photographic projects developed over time through a direct relationship with peripheral, rural, and marginal places, regardless of the background of those who make them. It expands the festival’s field of research, bringing in emerging practices and diverse perspectives, and helps identify projects aligned with the themes, values, and territorial dimension that define Verzasca Foto Festival.

Verzasca Foto Festival is accepting entries for its Nera di Verzasca 2024 photography competition and invites all amateur and professional photographers to participate. Verzasca Foto Festival aims to promote emerging international photographers and to support visual arts in rural and peripheral areas, by giving them freedom to express themselves through the connection and dialogue with nature. An international jury judges the main competition. The Main prize is 2,000 Swiss Francs + Solo Exhibition + Room and board during Verzasca Foto Festival Prize for finalists (2nd to 9th place) + Participation at Night of Photography + Room and board during Verzasca Foto Festival. In addition, all finalists will also be able to exhibit their work at Verzasca Foto 2024, with board and lodging for 4 days provided by the festival organizers.
