Yeiser Art Center has opened application for its Fantastic Fibers 2016 exhibition competition and invites all adult artists working in the field of fiber art to register. Fantastic Fibers is one of Yeiser Art Center’s most engaging and innovative international exhibitions and seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding contemporary works related to the fiber medium. The best artworks will be awarded with a total of $1,750 (US). All selected artworks — roughly 50 works — will be exhibited at Yeiser Art Center (YAC) in Paducah, 9 April – 4 June, 2016 and featured in full color catalog produced by Yeiser Art Center for sale during the exhibition.

Yeiser Art Center is currently accepting work for its Art Through the Lens 2015 photography competition – formerly known as Paducah Photo – and inviting photographers around the world to participate. In 2013, Paducah was bestowed the honor of being designated a member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Creative Cities Network in the area of Crafts & Folk Art. To embrace both this international honor and reflect the international growth of the exhibition, this year Paducah Photo will take on a new name, Art Through the Lens. Art Through the Lens 2015 is open to all with no restrictions on size or content and offers $2,000 in cash awards. The selected works will be exhibited in the Yeiser Art Center 20th June through 1st August, 2015 and prize winners will be announced during the opening reception.

The Yeiser Arts Center (YAC) has recently opened the Call for Entries for Inter-Act – an art exhibition for works that include interactive components. YAC is reviewing artist portfolios whose interactive work include components for both 2D and 3D art. Submissions are open to all artists who are 18 years and older.

Entries are now being accepted for the Fantastic Fibers 2013 exhibition competition. Fantastic Fibers is an international competitive exhibition that seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding works related to the fiber medium. In five years Fantastic Fibers has grown to a truly international competition/exhibition. Last year’s Fantastic Fibers 2012 Exhibit had nearly 400 entries submitted by 159 fiber artists from 10 different countries. 53 works by 43 fiber artists were chosen for the exhibit.

The Yeiser Art Center is hosting another new edition of the Paducah Photo Annual International Juried Photography Exhibition and is currently calling for 2012 entries. Originating in 1975, Paducah Photo is one of the largest, most prestigious annual, and longest running photographic events in the Mid-South. Paducah Photo 2012 is open for any combination of black and white, color or digital prints with no size restrictions.

Originating in 1975, The Paducah Photo Juried Photography Exhibition has grown from a fledgling contest to the region’s most prestigious annual photographic event. It is open to all without restrictions on size or content. It provides photographers with an outlet for their art, encouragement for growth in their vision and presentation and cash rewards for works of exceptional merit. Each year from the hundreds of works submitted, 60 to 80 images are selected for exhibition by a highly qualified juror, with 8 to 10 of them receiving cash awards.
