Yeiser Art Center has opened application for its Fantastic Fibers 2016 exhibition competition and invites all adult artists working in the field of fiber art to register.
Fantastic Fibers is one of Yeiser Art Center’s most engaging and innovative international exhibitions and seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding contemporary works related to the fiber medium.
The best artworks will be awarded with a total of $1,750 (US). All selected artworks — roughly 50 works — will be exhibited at Yeiser Art Center (YAC) in Paducah, 9 April – 4 June, 2016 and featured in full color catalog produced by Yeiser Art Center for sale during the exhibition.
Fantastic Fibers began in 1987 as a wearable art show, evolving over the years to include a compelling mix of traditional and non-traditional works created from natural or synthetic fibers.
Yeiser Art Center (YAC) was established in 1957 as the Paducah Art Guild for the purpose of promoting the appreciation of the visual arts and for their creation.
Fantastic Fibers 2016 Entry Fee
Up to five entries per artist are permitted with an entry fee of $15 per piece.
