The World Photography Organisation and ZEISS announce the brief and call for entry for the 2020 ZEISS Photography Award. The ZEISS Photography Award is an international photography competition that challenges photographic artists to submit bodies of work responding to a selected theme. The theme for the fifth edition of the Award is “Seeing Beyond – Discoveries”. The 2020 winner will receive €12,000 worth of ZEISS lenses, €3,000 ​to cover travel costs for a photography project and the opportunity to personally work with ZEISS and the World Photography Organisation. The 2020 ZEISS Photography Award winner will be rewarded at the 2020 Sony World Photography Awards grand ceremony on 16 April 2020 in London.

The ZEISS Photography Award is now in its fourth year – and is calling on ambitious photographers from across the globe to present their work around the theme “Seeing Beyond – The Unexpected” to the international jury of experts. Participants are required to submit a series of five to ten photographs, including a description of the images, online. The 2019 winner will receive 12,000 Euro worth of ZEISS lenses, 3,000 Euro ​to cover travel costs for a photography project and the opportunity to personally work with ZEISS and the World Photography Organisation.

The third edition of the ZEISS Photography Award recently opened for entries, with a new brief for 2018: “Seeing Beyond – Untold Stories”. Photographers from around the world are invited to submit their best series of work to present a look beyond the ordinary and every day. One winner and a shortlist of up to ten talented photographers will be announced. The winner will receive: 12,000 Euro worth of ZEISS lenses, 3,000 Euro travel expenses to complete a photography project of their choice in the location of their choice, a day at the ZEISS Headquarters in Germany including comprehensive lens training and a tour including the ZEISS museum, invitation to attend the exhibition of the winning work and more.

The World Photography Organisation and ZEISS have launched the second edition of the ZEISS Photography Award ‘Seeing Beyond’, with the theme “Meaningful places”. Following on from last year’s hugely successful inaugural edition, which attracted entries from 116 countries, this time, photographers are asked to look past the ordinary and the “everyday” to capture extraordinary aspects of the world we live in, by documenting the importance of one or several places that bear significance to each other. One winning photographer will be awarded with 12,000 Euro worth of ZEISS lenses, 3,000 Euro travel expenses to complete a dream photography project in the location of their choice plus a trip to London to attend the 2017 Sony World Photography Awards ceremony to receive their prize.
