The Pentawards annual competition is open for entries, seeking to award the best packaging designs for 2023 worldwide.
Recognized as the world’s leading packaging design competition, winning a Pentaward is a one-of-a-kind achievement for any packaging design agency, brand or student that takes part.
The Pentawards annual competition recognizes the best of the best in global packaging design, with entries judged by an incredible line-up of over 50 experts from global brands and agencies. With less than 20% of entries receiving a Pentawards, getting the global recognition of packaging design excellence has a profound effect on those fortunate enough to receive it.
Judges are looking for excellent graphic and structural design, considering aspects such as typography, artwork, the logo or brand name, use of color, as well as structural aspects such as shape, form and silhouette.

Pentawards global Jury scores the pack or range for its originality and creativity, considering also innovation in areas currently driving the industry, such as sustainability, inclusive design, smart technology, etc. Those from the international packaging community thinking of entering will not want to miss the opportunity to enter the 2023 Pentawards for a chance to grow their businesses, showcase their work to an international audience and gain honest and actionable feedback.
Five levels of awards are given: diamond, platinum, gold, silver, bronze. The diamond award is given to the packaging design which, across all categories, received the highest number of points. The platinum award goes in each of five major categories, to the packaging designs which received the most points in the given category. The gold, silver and bronze awards are given to the best packaging design in each sub-category.
Founded in 2007, the Pentawards is an annual packaging design competition and online hub for packaging designers. Participants include freelancers, design agencies, communication & advertising agencies, brands, packaging manufacturers and students.
